Water and mud suction and discharge hose
Rubber hose for dewatering, drainage, process water and low-pressure drilling mud. Built in EPDM or SBR with fabric reinforcement and an optional steel helix. This is the line Industrias Unigom supplies to oil-sector companies in Venezuela.
Applications
Pit and basement dewatering, construction drainage, rainwater and process water pumping, mud tank feed at rigs, low-pressure drilling mud return lines, industrial and agricultural water transfer.
With the steel helix it goes on the suction side of the pump; without it, it is a lighter and cheaper discharge hose for the push side.
Construction
- Smooth black EPDM or SBR tube, selected for fluid and temperature.
- Two to four plies of rayon or polyester fabric.
- Optional steel wire helix for suction.
- Cover of the same compound, weather, ozone and abrasion resistant, wrapped finish.
EPDM or SBR
EPDM stands up better to sun, ozone and hot water and is the choice for lines left outdoors. SBR is more economical and adequate for cold water and mud in intermittent service. If the mud carries oil or hydrocarbon-based additives, the right hose is the NBR-tube oil hose.
Fittings and testing
Delivered with flange, camlock, nipple or Bauer coupling swaged at the plant. Every batch is hydrostatically tested before shipping; the certificate is issued on request.
