Treated water and diluted chemical hose
EPDM tube rubber hose for treated water, hot water, cleaning solutions and diluted chemicals compatible with the compound. Textile reinforcement and optional steel helix. Compatibility with each product is confirmed before quoting.
Applications
Demineralized and treated water in boilers and cooling towers; hot water and cleaning solutions in food and beverage plants; caustic soda, hypochlorite and diluted acids in water treatment plants, provided the product and its concentration are compatible with EPDM.
Construction
- EPDM tube, the reference compound for hot water, ozone and diluted chemicals.
- Textile plies and optional steel helix for suction.
- EPDM cover resistant to ozone and weather.
- Ends prepared to suit the connection on the customer's equipment.
Chemical compatibility
EPDM performs well with diluted bases and acids, alcohols and hot water, and must not be used with hydrocarbons, oils or aromatic solvents. For those fluids the right hose is the nitrile-tube oil hose. Concentrated products and aggressive solvents call for a different hose type, and we will tell you so plainly. Send us the product name and concentration and we confirm compatibility before quoting.
